What this is
Is the Okanagan Connector Open? is a free, single-purpose site that answers one question: is the Okanagan Connector (Highway 97C, Merritt to West Kelowna via Pennask Summit) open, closed, or delayed right now. No accounts, no clutter.
Where the data comes from
Status comes from DriveBC's public Open511 API, refreshed every 5 minutes. We filter events to the Highway 97C corridor between Aspen Grove and the Peachland junction and classify each one as open, delayed, or closed. Driver reports on the homepage are secondary; the official DriveBC status is always the source of truth.
